In 2023 it will be the 350th anniversary of the birth of the Mallorcan composer Antoni Lliteres (Artà, 1673-Madrid, 1747), one of the main exponents of the Hispanic Baroque. Art Vocal Ensemble, in its 28th production, offers us one of his works, Los elementos (The Elements), an Italian-style harmonic opera that will be performed in a concert version.
Water, air, earth and fire are the four protagonists of Los elementos, which Lliteres dedicated to la Duquesa de las Torres for her birthday.
Conducted by Llorenç Gelabert Gual, featuring Laia Frigolé (soprano), Anaïs Oliveras (soprano), Margarita Rodríguez (soprano), Serena Pérez (mezzo-soprano), the Art Vocal Ensemble choir, the Art Vocal Ensemble chamber orchestra (with Margalida Gual as concertmaster) and, as narrator, actor Toni Vallès, who will immerse us in the plot, contextualizing the figure of Antoni Lliteres in his 350th (+ 1) anniversary.
