‘Dones de palla’

In 1963, Gina Lollobrigida shot a single sequence in Ca'n Picafort for the film Woman of Straw  the actress was crossing the street and asked a group of local women for a hotel.

Moments that now serve as the basis for this proposal of dramatized documentary theater by Catalina Inès Florit and directed by Aflel Teatre. In it, the shooting of the film is remembered through the Majorcan women who lived it, through actress Gina Lollobrigida and the writer of the novel on which it is based - French writer and actress Catherine Arley- through a child of 12. Cast: Olivia Fabre, Inès Catalina Florit, Lina Mira and Berta Vidal.

Dones de Palla  is represented in the courtyard of Centre Cultural La Misericòrdia and is part of the theater cycle Jardí Desolat, which this summer is celebrated under the motto Mallorca… i acció!
