BIn March 1930 a tribute held in Barcelona Catalan intellectuals intellectuals fifty Spaniards, in gratitude for the solidarity expressed six years ago when the dictatorship of Primo de Rivera banned the teaching and public use of Catalan.
These events, which took place amid the popular fervor, attended intellectuals as Menéndez Pidal attended as intellectuals, Ortega, Marañón, Azaña, Serna and Américo Castro, among others.
