‘Cantatas by Bach’

Bach's Cantatas constitute the fundamental nucleus of the compositional work of the Eisenach genius. It has been said that to immerse yourself in the breadth and magnificence of the figure of J. S. Bach, one must resort to his cantatas, due to the great variety of technical, formal and expressive resources introduced. This 26th production by Art Vocal Ensemble is a sound tour that combines an early stage with compositional plenitude.

An hour before the concert there will be an introductory lecture entitled De Pitàgores a Bach: una qüestió d'escala, by Josep Lluís Pol, mathematics teacher and popularizer.

The concert directed by  Llorenç Gelabert Gual will intervene Margarita Rodríguez (soprano), Marisa Roca (mezzosoprano), Antoni Aragón (tenor), Elías Arranz (baritone), Juan Rodríguez (oboe soloist), Ricardo Duato (violin soloist and concertmaster) and Vocal Art Ensemble, choir and orchestra.
