The Gas Museum of the Foundation Gas Natural Fenosa presents the exhibition around the most significant artistic work of Ramon de Baños (1890-1980) in the field of industrial photography. An unpublished selection of images that allow to rediscover the artist and photographer, known until now as a pioneer of Catalan cinema.
Like many other companies of the time, Catalana de Gas y Electricidad SA made photographic assignments in order to document and publish their heritage and their production capacity. Although the first collaborations of Ramon de Baños with this company are from 1929, during the Universal Exhibition in Barcelona, the main commissioned work is known as Album of 1947, a collection of 58 photographs of industrial machinery and architecture.
The beauty of the machine includes a selection of images from the mentioned collection and other photographic works of industrial gender as well as an audiovisual of 1927 by the Catalan director, writer and photographer.
