The Ballet de Moscú brings to the stage this ballet composed of a prologue and three acts with choreography by the great Marius Petipa's, who also wrote the script with Ivan Vsevolojsky, and music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Premiered with great success by the Ballet Mariinsky of St. Petersburg in January 1890.
Sleeping Beauty it is based on the story by Charles Perrault, author of other famous tales as Puss in Boots and Little Red Riding Hood, among others. Precisely, the third act of this ballet recreates some of these stories.
The Ballet de Moscú was founded in 1989 by Russian choreographer and dancer Fayziev Timur, who serves as director. It is composed of leading dancers and choreographers from different Ballets Russes, as the Bolshoi and the Stanislavsky.
