This exhibition is curated by the writer and professor Gabriel Janer Manila and shows the intense life story and extensive literary and informative work of Mallorcan Antoni Maria Alcover (Manacor, 1862 - Palma, 1932).
Also known as Mossèn Alcover (he was ordained priest in 1886 and became Canon of the Seminary headquarters of Mallorca), he was a modernist writer besides linguist, folklorist and publicist. His most popular work is the Mallorcan rondallas collection which he first published in 1880 under the pseudonym Jordi d'es Racó.
