This work by Sebastià Ruby from Manacor, with music by Antoni Maria Servera, premiered with great success on February 16, 1935 at the Teatre Principal de Manacor. Over time, it has become a comedy reference in town.
The story of Ai Quaquín , que has vengut de prim! (Oh Quaquín, you've come to thin!), situates us in the day of Sant Antoni, when the parents of Quaquín receive a letter announcing his return from Argentina. The illiteracy of the parents creates a web of confusion that ends with the fictional funeral of the son and the return of Quaquín, thinner than when he left.
The production features stage direction by Joan Manuel Albinyana and musical direction by Xavier Gelabert, besides the participation of the Chamber Choir Ars Antiqua. Interpreted by Lluís Toni Reyes (in the role of Quaquín), Jaume Obrador, Pep Lopez, Rosa Sunyer, Francesca Vadell, Joan Antoni Sunyer, Alfonsina Ballester and Esteva Sastre.
