‘20 Sigarette’
Directed in 2010 by Aureliano Amadei, it is a multi-awarded film based on a traumatic experience of the filmmaker himself. It tells the story of a young anti-militarist who accepts the offer to work as an assistant director in a film that is shot in Iraq, against the advice of family and friends. Fatally, the Italian troops stationed in the Arab country will suffer an attack in which he is the sole survivor.
The film received four Donatello awards, a Golden Globe, two Nastri d'Argento mentions and numerous awards worldwide. It was also the winner of the Italian Controcampo in the Venice Film Festival, projected within the cycle Cine de Autor, organized by the Servei d’Activitats Culturals (SAC) of the University of the Balearic Islands, in original version with subtitles in Spanish.
